Frequently asked questions
I want a 40% margin — what markup do I need?
Markup = Margin ÷ (1 − Margin). For a 40% margin: 0.40 ÷ 0.60 = 66.67% markup. A 50% margin needs a 100% markup.
Is markup applied to full cost?
It should be. Include product cost, packaging, shipping and fees in the cost field, or the real margin will be thinner than planned.
